Transformers 3: New Full-length theatrical trailer unleashed

After a string of 10-second and 30-second trailers which gave us fleeting glimpses of the explosive robot action in Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Paramount Pictures has taken the leash off the full-blown theatrical trailer of the final movie in Michael Bay’s trilogy.
In the new official theatrical trailer, the key antagonist, Shockwave makes his debut, locked-and-loaded for the final showdown with Optimus Prime. Megatron is missing from the action on the other hand which is rather strange. Bumblebee and Ironhide are up to their usual selves with skilled acrobatic manoeuvres that will make an Olympic athlete jump up and take notes. Decepticons appear to have the upper hand this time with spaceships the size of skyscrapers and robots that would give Pirates of the Caribbean’s Kraken stiff competition, are leading the blitzkrieg on Washington DC and Chicago. We expected more footage of the Autobot elite sub-team Wreckers who zoom around masqueraded as NASCAR racing cars.
Franchise regulars, Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson and John Turturro get to make their presence felt while the new hottie on the block – Rosie Huntington Whitley – makes her third consecutive appearance in trailers, without uttering a single word. Is her character mute by any chance? Dumb blondes, they say. While the first batch of trailers were stingy in terms of giving away plotlines and came stuffed with random images of mechanical and architectural carnage, the new one does a pretty decent job of laying down the storyline before the viewer in a span of 2:27 minutes. We wouldn’t choose to deprive you of the thrills of finding it out yourself.
Transformers: Dark of the Moon hits theatres on 1th July 2011 in 2D, Real D 3D and IMAX.
