2010 New WagonR launched, Prices start from INR 3.28 Lakhs
Maruti Suzuki launched the 2010 all new Maruti WagonR today, at New Delhi. This officially ends the long wait for this eagerly anticipated small car with the Tall Boy design from the Maruti Suzuki stables.
The 2010 Maruti WagonR comes with a 998cc petrol K Series engine that pumps about 67Bhp at 6200rpm and 90Nm of torque at 3500rpm. While these power and torque figures aren’t too different from that of the outgoing WagonR, we’re pretty certain about the better driveability and the performance of the new K Series engines.
These crucial factors were missing in the older WagonR whose engine was strangled by emission concerns, thus impacting both driveabilty and performance adversely. Notably, the 1 liter K series engine is also E10 (10% ethanol) complaint which makes it environment friendly as well.
Coming to the exteriors, the new WagonR sees a complete redesign stylistically, that helps it stand out from the previous version. Also, the 2010 WagonR is wider and taller than the outgoing version. The new WagonR also gets ABS and airbags in the top end version which certainly is a good thing considering the huge jump in safety these additions bring.
