Folks wanting to buy the 2011 Maruti Suzuki have some bad news in store. Maruti Suzuki will not launch the 2011 Maruti Swift anytime before the end of 2011. Now that is almost a year away and that definitely isn’t something a lot of people who have been eagerly waiting for the 2011 Swift would want to hear. But here’s something that would cheer Swift fans in India.

Maruti Suzuki is planning to shift Swift’s production to it’s Manesar plant, which going forward, could reduce the long and frustrating waiting period prospective Swift buyers face currently. Along with shifting of the Swift’s production to Manesar, the production of the Maruti Suzuki DZire too would be reoriented to Maruti’s Gurgaon manufacturing unit in a bid to reduce the waiting periods.

While all this certainly is good news on the waiting period front, we at ICB, strongly feel that Maruti should hasten the arrival of the 2011 Swift as that is one car that a lot of people are really interested to have a test drive in. Meanwhile the 2011 Maruti Suzuki Swift is expected to usher in newer engine options in both petrol and diesel versions along with more interior space and an automatic transmission as an option.

    What the hell, i was eagerly waiting for the new swift for an entire year. 2011 end is too much now.. i thought they will be launching it in jan 2011 as per the rumors.. MARUTI will definitely lose many customers.. and now i am one of them. X-(

    mere dost monty,there is no upgrade model in swift,and new model could be lauch in feb last,acatully thwe upgrade model of sfift or dzire luauch in uk ,us,bcoz its not indian road,car have low grnd clrnce,

    @anshul: bro… what do u want to say?? it is an upgraded model of swift. It has larger wheelbase,all new interiors, 90 mm increase in length etc. and moreover MSIL can introduce new engines. Bt MSIL is very slow.
    And can u tell me from where u heard it will launch in feb last?
