Just the other day, there was the muscular and chunky looking 2012 Chevrolet Aveo which is India bound in early 2011. We said it will face some stiff competition from the likes of Ford and Honda in India and here’s how the competition will look like. Ford India will replace the rapidly aging Ford Fiesta Sedan with the 2011 version, which brings with it, for starters, plenty of zest in the looks department. Along with the edgy design the Ford Fiesta Sedan shares with it’s hatchback sibling, the 2011 Ford Fiesta will also ring in a couple of new engine options, both in petrol and diesel guises.

Currently, the Ford Fiesta Duratec petrol is a scorcher of a drivers car that says, rev my tits off, each time you floor the gas pedal. So Ford enthusiasts in India will expect the 2011 Fiesta to fill up the outgoing version’s boots with some equally spirited performance and handling. Going by Ford India’s history, we shouldn’t be disappointed on these counts. So, end 2010 it is, when you and I can check out the 2011 Ford Fiesta Sedan at a Ford India dealer.

    I am not a huge fan of hatchbacks with boots. The Ford fiesta hatchback is a beautiful car. The sports version is the shiznit.

    The car in the monoform looks pretty modern, I dare say more space-agish than even the Honda’s. The boot is however ungainly and too highly mounted, somewhat like previous generation City. May polarise opinions in terms of looks.

    Same here, very keen on knowing all the details along with the price of new Fiesta Sedan. Few dealers say it is expected to launch in June 2011(not sure).
