Maruti Suzuki, a one word(2 words actually..duh !!) substitute of ‘popular among the masses‘. A decade ago, the car that you could even spot in a place where spotting a human would have been a challenge, yes we are talking about the legendary Maruti 800.

Lets come back to the current times, the car that just gave Maruti Suzuki the humongous popularity that its competitors in the small car section could only dream of, Maruti Suzuki was now light years ahead of its competitors, courtesy Maruti Suzuki Swift, the most common 4–wheeled thing you could see on any road at any given time.

Hold your horses, Maruti Suzuki doesn’t seem to be content with the popularity as yet, they are far from done. With that let me have the honor of introducing the next generation Maruti Suzuki Hatchback Car, ‘New Maruti Suzuki Swift 2011’

With every big thing comes expectations, with every awaited thing come spy cameras :P, some of the spy pictures of the New Maruti Suzuki Swift 2011 we had posted some time back.

As speculations have it, you could see this new generation of 4 wheeled beauty by the end of 2010 or in the first quarter of 2011.

Now as far as its looks are concerned, one thing that can be said with certain amount of confidence is that it has a tad bit more space than its predecessor, at the very outset it certainly looks more gorgeous. And its rear end is just shouting “different” “different” !!!

Now, comparisons with its predecessor are inevitable. So, I will just drift along with the flow and pictures of the current swift are posted below (that rhymed :P), for we love making comparisons , don’t we , check them out folks.

2010 Maruti Suzuki Swift

After having close looks of all sets of pictures, some (rather many) may argue against its unusually similar appearance to the current swift that we see around. Well that’s something very valid, but at the same time you can’t really complain if you are getting swift in a bigger size with better internal space, more comfortable (I am assuming that ) and certainly better looking in whatever little magnitude that may be.

Not to forget the technological advantages it would bring with itself, which would only be crystal clear once Maruti Suzuki decides to officially launch it.

Till then, be optimistic, hope for the best, keep drifting and more importantly keep SWIFT-ING !!

The new SWIFT will be available in Jan-Feb of 2011 in India…. The pricing starts from 5 lac for the base model of swift and goes up to 6.5 lac ….. It has more power & torque than the existing one and comfort level is upgraded…. It is also more spacious and more luxurious….The interior’s are just fantastic….

So wait and watch for the new BIRD in the market in 2011…..

Its ridicules if they increase the price.
it has no price difference; wherever in the launched markets.
I t resembles expired opal corsa from the front views. However it looks good from the rear views.
They plan diesal varients’s launching by june only. This will affect the demands.

If you like the Swift Diesel, you may buy it now. There is no point really, of waiting for 1 full year for the 2011 Swift, which also might have a waiting period pushing the overall wait to more than a year.

I dont kno y Maruti people has delayed n kept the launch of SWIFT 2011 a suspence. I called them may times, they say they hav no info. BASICALLY they hav taken Indians fargranted for their products. India being one the biggest markets for them, they should show some respect for Indians. They should hav introduced here also as they did in UK. They must be taught a LESSON and must brought down from no.1 to last no. as far as car selling is concerned. Give sh*t to their products.

If you guys are looking for a Diesel one – please refer to Figo also – The ZXI and Titanium model come with Great Luxury which Swift is not providing. If Maruti is able to incorporate these advantages in the upcoming model(which they are delaying un necessarly) – Swift can make up the current market. Even I am eagerly waiting for the new model

As per the dealer in Bangalore, it is going to launch on June last week or july first week. The Price is 35-40K extra than the present model.

I may get the delivery on July second or last week.

Not sure who moderates this site – Lot of or folks are keep on asking abt the launch of New swift 2011 – til now no answer!
Friends-Maruti has not offcially announced the launch date – there are roumers that the new swift will launch by May 2011.
Even maruti is playing Hide and seek game, probably for flushing out the current model which is already produced…anyways this is not a good attitude, I have booked one VDi 4 moths back – was waiting for the new model till this week. I am going to cancel my order and will go for Figo Diesel!

I moderate this site and the reason for not answering when the new 2011 Swift will launch, is due to the fact that we haven’t yet received official information from Maruti although dealers and a few sources in the know tell us that Maruti will launch the new Swift in May or June. Also, as a carmaker Maruti will not reveal the launch date till it stops producing the existing Swift in order to make sure that people do not shift to he new Swift by canceling existing Swift bookings.

i talked to senior company official. Said the current swift will stop booking after diwali 2011. So its obvious that new model 2011 will start booking only after diwali 2011. Its long time.
If planning now you can choose for same budget “Ford Figo” or i 10.
Also swift will cost 5.8 ex showroom thats almost “6.5 lacs” on road for the disel version.

In nutshell wait only if you have that much budget. Otherwise you are fooling yourself.

It is more than a year when this discussion is started. The car hasn’t launched, dealers don’t even know when can be launched and maruthi never utter a single word on the launch date, what the hell is happening … ? people can not relay on uncertainty .. muruthi can loose there market share .. beaware maruthi .. !
