New Tata Safari 2011: Spy Pictures
2011 Tata Safari SUV Front
There is not much known about the new Safari car but one thing is for sure that Tata’s have not forgotten about it. As we can see from the pictures, the SUV is in its testing phase and will be in the showrooms somewhere in 2011.
The 2011 Tata Safari SUV will be based on its sibling Aria’s platform which will make the car more rigid and a better handler. The new model will also have lots of space and will be loaded with features such ABS, Airbags, Climate Control etc.

Since the Aria has been developed keeping in mind the European markets, it has got some great plastics which will surely make into the cabin of the new Safari car as well. As far as engine is concerned, speculation are that Tata will be bringing its proven 2.2L VTT DiCOR to this model as well.
The car is expected to be lighter than the outgoing model to make it more fuel efficient. With European markets in mind, the car has been developed to comply by the EuroNCAP safety norms. Watch out this space for more information on the car in future.

actually i’m planing to purchase a safari in january, so i wanted to know when is that new safari 2011 going to launched & what will be price of the topest model.
It seems the New Tata Safari 2011 does not have the spare wheel on the back door… which actually made the Safari look like a perfect SUV.
Any views…
hope this time the doors do not rattle and body roll is minimised.

Tengo un Tata Grand Safari de 140cv y la verdad es que estoy contento con él. Espero que este nuevo Safari tenga un diseño mejor y sobre todo que sea algo más potente. Entre 20 y 40 cv estaría bien de potencia.

Tata people do you not think we should work on co lour.safari’s colour is not good like other suv of this segment if u don’t required no problem, but should take care of those who are paying 7.5 to 12 lac.i think their expectations are more from your side and they think their suv should look good in front of Scorpio but it looks dull in colour.second if people are complaining rear door problem then should work it but if u like that people should use it without tire then ok.because u are not interested to solve this problem so u are not working on it because this problem exist more than one decade.

Hi All,
I am back with my comments. I recently visited a Tata Showroom. I was very much impressed with Tata Aria. I did take a test Drive. It’s a fantastic vehicle and a very spacious car, in the second & third row as well.
The only drawback is the cost. It could have done better work on its pricing. I do understand the strategy of positioning of this car, but still some people call it as a “Look Alike” of Toyota Inova :-(. Probably 2 lakhs more than a Safari could be a good pricing.
I am a big fan of Tata Cars… I am now waiting for the New Safari 2011. I hope there are not too many changes done in the model… and if done, it should look have a more “Nasty Look” that an SUV must have, along with its “Tata Sophisticated” look that they have been able to have.
Yes, the rear tyre must be retained, as that’s what gives it a manly look. Probably to resolve the rattling sound that it might have, they must look at how a Pajero or a Ford Endeavour has been able to handle.

well guys today i had been in the tata showroom i want to buy tata safari i find this very beautiful and aerodynamically designed spacious car , but interiors are less finished tata people need to work on interiors do small changes which doesnnt cost much just needs fine good hands to do some changes in interior and bring some high quality dashboard or just change the finish . but over all guys i will tell you frankly this is a suv i love to drive just i have booked a one today i am sure i have done the good decision.
WHY DON’T YOU MAKE HATCHBACK 3 DOOR OF TATA SAFARI IT WILL BE BIG HIT IN THE MARKET .
