2011 Toyota Corolla Altis

Here are a bunch of pictures of the Toyota Corolla Altis captured by a Team-Bhpian. From the images, it is pretty evident that the Toyota Corolla Altis has gotten itself a minor refresh and the images that we now have correspond to the ones that we carried a while ago with the Altis in minor camouflage.

Meanwhile, the car being driven openly without any camouflage hints at a impending launch very shortly. While that is a positive, we also learnt that the facelifted 2011 Toyota Corolla Altis is purely a cosmetic upgrade and that the mechanicals remain the same with no change whatsoever.

Now what that means is all hopes of a low priced, 1.6 Liter Corolla Altis needs to be put to rest. Meanwhile, the facelifted Corolla Altis might see a launch sometime next month and reach Toyota showrooms across the country by early June. Now, with Toyota refreshing the segment leading Corolla Altis, will Honda bring in the 2012 Civic to India soon? That remains a big question that only Honda can answer. What say, Honda?

Toyota and Honda will conitnue to be the leaders of the segment and sought after cars till the skodas and vw keeps the maintenance costs of their so called hi-tech cars obnoxiously high.
Many gets lured by advertisements of high mileage, which we indians crave for, and buy these skoda octavia, laura and jetta to finally end up paying more on maintenance, service and spares. For example a clutch plate replacement for octavia (after ~ 60,000 km) would cost you aroung 50,000. These things, would drive people to look for toyotas and suzukis even if they give obsolete or pathetically looking products.
