You have seen the Honda CR-V test mules earlier of IndianCarsBikes, here are some new images of the SUV that will be coming next year. Honda has already released a teaser campaign and this shows that the development of the new SUV is going as planned. The car was also spotted in China recently sporting some light camouflage. The very first image though, which was acquired in the US of A by Brenda Priddy & Co. gave away the overall dimensions and the shape of the upcoming SUV.

The new images too were snapped in the United States again thanks to Brenda Priddy & Co. This time however, the car was covered with black disguise to keep it away from prying eyes. The shape of the new CR-V does makes us believe that it might have enough space for a third row of seats. We are still not sure whether the new CR-V will be a 7-seater or the usual 5- seat SUV with a large boot. The overall stance of the SUV does resemble that of the Volvo XC60 with a tail lamp cluster that also much like the Swedish SUV.

In the new spy shots, Honda has covered the rear quarter glass which is one of the new design features on the SUV.The teaser video that Honda released a few days back did not show the car but all we could see was light at the end of a tunner which we suppose would be of the 2012 Honda CR-V which will emerge in to the frame in the full video. When Honda get the new CR-V to India we might see a 2.2 litre i-CTDI diesel engine under the hood. The new engine produces 140 bhp and 251 lb-ft of twist from its 4 cylinders. At present, Honda offers a 2.0 litre i-VTEC with 143 bhp and a 2.4 litre petrol with 163 bhp.
