The 2012 Hyundai i20 Fluidic is testing all over the world!

It isn’t India alone where the i20 Fluidic is being tested ahead of its debut later this year, the Hyundai i20 Fluidic is being tested all across the world and here’s some proof. Our friends at AutoEvolution have caught a heavily camouflaged Hyundai i20 Fluidic doing what seems to be cold weather testing in some part of snowed out Europe. The Hyundai i20 Fluidic will be the second existing model in the Hyundai India line up to embrace the fluidic design philosophy which has come to become the trademark of all new Hyundai car models. The other model is the Hyundai i10, which went Fluidic a couple of years ago.

From the spyshots, we’re able to discern that the overall profile of the i20 remains unchanged hinting at a change mainly on the front end and the rear end of the car, to go with Hyundai’s latest fluidic design philosophy. You could expect something on the likes of the Hyundai i10′s design job with an all new front end replete with the aggressive shark-ish grille. Headlights could get curvier and the i20 Fluidic is expected to arrive with a new grille and front bumper.On the rear too, expect changes to go with the new design philosophy although the i20 Fluidic might retain the existing design with more subtle changes if the i10 Fluidic is of any indication.

The engine options are expected to remain unchanged with a choice of two petrol engines and one diesel engine. With the arrival of the Verna Fluidic, Hyundai India discontinued the 6 speed gearbox on the diesel variant of the i20. This is something that we hope that the Fluidic version of the i20 will change as the overdrive of the 6th gear is particularly useful for highway cruising, giving the i20 good mileage. Expect the Hyundai i20 Fluidic to be launched in India over the next few months even as Hyundai India seems to be testing the car in India quite extensively.
