2012 Mahindra XUV500 Crossover SUV bags 5900 orders in two days of bookings reopening!

Mahindra reopened bookings of the XUV500 Crossover SUV two days ago, on the 25th of January across 19 cities in India. In two days, the firm has received 5900 applications for the XUV500, although final orders will be confirmed through a computerized random allocation process or in other words, a lucky draw. Mahindra can service a maximum of 7,200 orders in the second phase of XUV500 bookings and the automaker plans to close bookings on the February 3rd, after which it will allocate 7,200 cars to buyers.

Also, only the W6 and W8 2 wheel drive variants of the Mahindra XUV500 are available for booking. The top end W8 all wheel drive model is not being offered currently. Mahindra has also increased production of the XUV500 at its Chakan plant, off Pune, to meet the high demand. The XUV500 will also be exported soon to countries across the world. The Mahindra XUV500 features a 2.2 Liter common rail diesel engine, which is a reworked and uptuned version of the mHawk engine found on the Scorpio SUV. This engine produces 140 Bhp of peak power and 330 Nm of peak torque.

Transmission is through a six speed manual gearbox with an automatic variant under development. If in case the bookings do not exceed 7,200 units, there won’t be a lucky draw, with allotments being done on a first come-first serve basis. By the looks of it though, it seems that the XUV500 will be overbooked in the next couple of days given the stiff demand on the first two days of bookings reopening. The Mahindra XUV500 is available for bookings at Mahindra dealerships in the following 19 Indian cities, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh/Panchkula, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Patiala, Kochi, Trivandrum, Calicut, Trissur, Coimbatore, Nagpur and Nasik.

xuv 500 is equual to:-no comfort,suspension problem,brake problem.bad quality accessries.only looks nothing else in this suv
