2012 Renault Duster SUV brochure surfaces onto the interweb; Launch to happen tomorrow
Tomorrow, Renault India will launch what appears to be the most exciting product from the French car brand for the Indian market, the 2012 Duster SUV. Demo versions of the Renault Duster SUV have already begun trickling into Renault dealerships across the country, ahead of the official launch. Dealers have even begun taking bookings for the Duster SUV, this even before the all-important price of this SUV has been announced. Now, we have a brochure of the 2012 Duster SUV listing out all the variants and equipment levels, that has surfaced onto Team-Bhp.

The basic variants of the Duster remain true to what we have published a while ago. The petrol engined variant is available in two variants, RxL and RxE while the diesel engined variants get the additional top end RxZ trim. The brochure also reveals the ARAI certified fuel economy figures for the Duster,
102 PS Petrol Duster: 13.24 Kmpl
85 PS Diesel Duster: 20.46 Kmpl
110 PS Diesel Duster: 19.01 Kmpl
Also, the petrol engined Duster gets a full hydraulic power steering while the diesel engined models get the more efficient electro-hydraulic power steering. Renault offers a 2+2 years/80,000 Km warranty on the Duster. All variants of the Duster SUV in India are available only in two wheel drive guise. The made-in-India Duster has just been launched in the UK a few days ago and going by the pricing levels at which this SUV has been launched, expect a competitive price tag in India as well, more so, since the Indian Duster doesn’t get the 4WD option.

Something a little under 7 lakhs for the base model, will give Ford something to think about.
The spec sheet looks good. Fuel avg looks very interesting. If this one had a 4WD even as a optional fitment, this would be a double sure shot hit, seeing the ground clearance. Now, the price is going to set things rolling..
