The 2013 Maruti Suzuki SX4 facelift has reached dealerships. A Team-Bhpian has managed to snag images of the facelifted SX4 at a service center of a dealership in Bangalore. The facelifted SX4 gets stylistic changes on the outside. A prominent feature is the new front grille, which replaces the honeycomb item of the previous SX4. The new grille on the SX4 features horizontal slats and comes with a generous dash of chrome. Given the love most Indian car buyers have for chrome on their cars, the chrome splashed front end of the facelifted SX4 is expected to go down well with car buyers. The front end of the facelifted SX4 also showcased a new front bumper.

On the inside, the facelifted SX4 gets a black and beige finish. If you observe the spyshots closely, you can see that the dashboard of the SX4 retains a black colour while the seats get a beige trim. Other details of the facelift remain unclear at this point in time although we suspect that the facelifted SX4 will get a few more changes to justify the whole facelift exercise. So, expect a bunch of changes on the facelifted model. Under the hood, the engine range is expected to continue unchanged. The current versions of the SX4 are available in three engine options: a 1.6 Liter petrol engine, a 1.6 Liter petrol-CNG engine and a 1.3 Liter turbo diesel engine. All three engines get a 5 speed manual gearbox as standard while the petrol motor gets a 4 speed automatic gearbox as an option.
Top end versions of the SX4 get ABS, EBD and Twin Airbags as standard. The SX4’s high ground clearance and butch looks are big selling points. The car competes with the likes of the Honda City, the Ford Fiesta and the Hyundai Verna, in the Indian C-Segment sedan class. In many international markets, the SX4 is sold as a high riding hatchback. At the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, an all new version of the SX4 was showcased. The all new version of the SX4 crossover features completely revamped styling and roomier interiors. As of now, there’s no indication of Maruti Suzuki launching the all new SX4 crossover in India.
