German luxury carmaker, Mercedes-Benz today introduced the latest and the Long Wheel Base version of its popular sedan, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
The new 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB has been introduced, starting at a price tag of Rs. 56.17 lacs ex-showroom, Mumbai for the petrol version and Rs. 69.47 lacs ex-showroom, Mumbai for the diesel.
India is the first global market to receive the LWB version of the new E-Class in the Right Hand Drive or RHD form.
The car sees twin DRL strips at the front, integrated into the headlamps and demarcate it from the bigger S-Class and the younger C-Class sibling.
The 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class also gets a new set of alloy wheels, as well as tweaks on the inside. There is a 12.3 cm digital touch screen display, mated to 13 speaker Burmeister sound setup. The Long Wheel-Base version basically means a lot of improvement on the available legroom at the back than the regular version of the car.
The Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB version comes with self park technology, a 360 degree view rear camera and parking sensors both front and back.
On the inside, the car also gets ambient mood lighting, which can be set in as many as 64 different color.
The E350d car comes powered by a 3.0-litre diesel motor, which develops 258 BHP of power and a staggering 620 Nm of peak torque. The petrol powered car, the E200 on the other hand is driven by a 2.0-litre motor, which churns out 238 BHP of power and 300 Nm of peak torque. The engines come mated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
