Audi India launches the facelifted Q5 Crossover at a price of INR 43.16 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi

Audi India has launched the facelifted version of one of its best selling cars in the Indian luxury car market, the Q5 luxury crossover. The facelifted 2013 Audi Q5 is priced at INR 43.16 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi, and comes in three variants. The crossover is available for booking across all Audi India showrooms. The 2013 Audi Q5 is imported into India through completely knocked down(CKD) kits, which are assembled into finished cars at the German luxury car maker’s Aurangabad assembly unit. Apart from the changes to the exteriors, the interiors of the luxury crossover also get a once over, in keeping with the overall theme of the facelift. The multifunction steering wheel comes in a 4 spoke design while the controls get a chromed finish. The Inner fascia of the radio system/CD player and the air-conditioning are styled in high gloss black while the leather seats get a twin biege and black trim.

The 2013 Audi Q5 gets a MMI system with a refreshed interface that allows for Bluetooth connectivity and that has two memory card slots. Under the hood, the Audi Q5 will be offered with one turbo petrol engine and two turbo diesel engines. The turbo petrol engine is the 2 Liter TFSI unit that generates 211 Bhp of peak power and 350 Nm of peak torque. The two TDI turbo diesel engines for the 2013 Audi Q5 include 2 Liter and 3 liter units.

The 2 Liter TDI engine is good for 177 Bhp of peak power and 380 Nm of peak torque while the top-of-the-line 3 Liter TDI motor outputs 245 Bhp of peak power and 580 Nm of peak torque. The two turbo diesel engines are mated to an 7 speed S-Tronic dual clutch automatic transmission as standard while the petrol engine is mated to an 8 speed Tiptronic automatic transmission. Audi claims that the 2 Liter TDI turbo diesel engine delivers 15% better fuel economy.

The Quattro all wheel drive system is standard on all the variants of the Q5. The crossover is loaded to the gills with creature comforts and safety features. Airbags, ABS+EBD, Anti-Slip Regulation, Hill Hold Assist, Hill Descent Control, ESP and Traction Control comes as standard on the facelifted Audi Q5 crossover.
