BMW 3 Series Crossover Coupe could be the all new BMW 4 Series?

Days ago, we bought you buzz about BMW testing a 3 Series based Crossover Coupe that might see the production floor sometime in 2013. Now, we have another report emerging that says that the 3 Series Crossover Coupe could actually spawn an all new segment for BMW called the BMW 4 Series.

The prime reason for this could be the fact that BMW would want to give stiff competition to the Audi’s A3 Crossover or perhaps even the Audi A5 Sportback, depending on what price and feature level BMW plans to position it’s latest four door coupe crossover at. The car will basically bridge the gap between the 3 Series and 5 Series by being a sporty alternative.

All said, this bit of buzz is atill one big rumor for the time being, until more clarity emerges on what exactly BMW is thinking. Until then stick around as we try to wheedle out more information from across the interweb about the possible BMW 4 Series Crossover Coupe.
