After the BMW, Audi cuts the A6′s price massively

That big German sedan which was just beyond your reach could now be well within your striking distance. Yes, that is right, Audi India have effected a massive price cut on their high end A6 sedan. First it was BMW which stunned premium car buyers by offering massive discounts on the 3 series sedan, now Audi follows suit to get more Indians to sing the Audi tune. The Audi A6 will now cost INR 37 Lakhs, ex-showroom Mumbai. Incidentally, this price cut comes even as Audi is celebrating a century of it’s existence. Coming to the features the Audi A6 comes with, for starters you get a powerful yet efficient 2.7 liter diesel engine. The A6 develops 190 bhp from its V6 engine capacity of 2,698 cc. To supplement all this power, you get a creamy 380 Nm of twisting force between 1,400 and 3,500 rpm. all this power and torque will propel the A6 from nought to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds up to a maximum speed of 227 km/h.

In the segment the A6 sells in, performance figures are academic to say the least. People buy Audis for the feel of total luxury amidst German indestructibility. So does Audi hae enough pizzaz under it’s solid German body. The Audi A6 lives up to all the expectations of the luxury car buyers and doesn’t skimp on the features front even though it comes with the huge price drop.
