Ratan Tata drives a Maserati, loves his Ferraris and has for long been trying to bring Ferrari to India. Finally, it seems like the Maranello based Italian supercar maker will join the likes of Porsche and Lamborghini to bring it’s legendary Ferraris to Indian shores. The latest buzz on the world wide web is of Ferrari CEO Luca Di Montemezelo telling BBC Radio that Ferrari was looking to establish an Indian arm later this year. For this, Ferrari, in all probability might team up with Tata Motors Limited, to distribute and sell Ferraris in India.

Like most supercar makers, Ferrari might establish it’s dealerships in Delhi and Mumbai, before contemplating other non metro locations like Bangalore and Hyderabad, which also have a large premium car market. Incidentally, Ferrari had very successfully embarked upon a long drive in India crisscrossing major Indian cities to dispel myths of it’s supercars not being suitable for India. Any which ways, this bit of news will definitely warm many an Indian Tifosi’s heart and trust me, there are a lot of them out there. Forza Ferrari.
