Come 9th May 2013, General Motors India will launch the Chevrolet Enjoy MPV in the Indian car market. A rebadged version of the Wuling Hongguang MPV, the Enjoy will compete with the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and the Nissan Evalia. The Enjoy MPV will be sold in petrol and diesel engine variants. The MPV will be built in India by General Motors and will come with a high level of localization. A 7 seat variant with 4 captain seats and a 3 seat bench on the third row, and a 8 seat variant with two captain seats, and two three seat bench in the second and third rows are the two seating options that the Enjoy MPV will bring to the table.
The Chevrolet Enjoy will be positioned above the Tavera MUV with a whole host of more-premium features. The top spec Chevrolet Enjoy MPV will get ABS, EBD and Twin Airbags as standard equipment. Also, dual air conditioning to cool the cabin more effectively and higher quality interiors are the various facets of the Enjoy, that’ll allow it to be positioned distinctly from the Tavera. The Enjoy is expected be offered in six variants, three in petrol and three in diesel guises. The petrol engine offered on the Enjoy is a 1.4 Liter-4 cylinder naturally aspirated unit that outputs 103 Bhp-130 Nm. The diesel engine will be a 1.3 Liter turbo diesel outputting 77 Bhp-207 Nm. Both engines will be offered with 5 speed manual gearboxes as standard. Meanwhile, General Motors India has come up with a brand new contest to promote the Chevrolet Enjoy.
