What else do we expect from Chevrolet at the Chicago Auto Show? you heard it right, it is the all new Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. As people were expecting to get a glimpse of the Camaro Z28 version, they got something even better. This is going to be the fastest production Camaro ever and will be available for sale in 2012.

The Numero Uno contender for muscle cars, Camaro, has a big and loud LSA 6.2 litre supercharged V8 engine blasting out 550 bhp of killer power and producing a torque of 550 lb-ft. The ZL1 has undergone a chassis and suspension development along with improved braking. This is going to be the best Camaro in the history of the Camaro line.

This car will have loads of new features such as electric power steering which is found in the BMW Z4 and magnetic ride control like the Corvette Z06. Body modifications include new vents on the bonnet. new rocker panels, wider tyres, 20 inch wheels, hood and brake calipers, spoiler and diffuser. For safety purpose, the car is installed with a ‘Head-Up Display’.

The steering wheel has been redesigned and alloy pedals are provided for a perfect racer look. The transmission will be Tremec TR-6060 6 speed manual along with a dual mode exhaust, tough driveshaft and rear axle, LS differential and modified rear stabiliser bars. Ford will still have to watch out for this enemy though the Mustang is an all time favourite muscle car.
