Here are details about Tata’s possible WagonR rival in an ICB Exclusive!
Team ICB, through it’s sources has learnt that Tata Motors Limited, is working on a tall boy rival, that could either be positioned in between the Indica and the Indica Vista to take on the Maruti WagonR or alternatively replace the Tata Indica, which is more than a decade old. For now, let us just assume that the new tall boy being readied up by Tata Motors Limited will be the WagonR’s rival.
While we don’t have images to show for, the tall boy Tata car in question seen at a confidential location, had wraparound headlamps, like the Skoda Fabia. The front of the car looked like a mixture of the Tata Indica and the Skoda Fabia. Moving on, the rear of the car resembles the Hyundai Santro Xing/WagonR. Also, our source tells us that the car looked much bigger than the Tata Nano and hence says that it might not be the Tata Dolphin concept.
Apart from this, the car, in true Tata style is much more spacious than the Tata Indica. Now, that is really something as the Indica itself is the most spacious car in it’s segment and better it would require some very nifty packaging skills. So, massive space on offer seems to be a big positive of the tall boy car emerging from Tata Motors and do watch out for test mules of this car arriving onto Indian roads soon.
Other details like the engine and transmission options about this car remain unknown at the moment although we’ll try getting more dope about what seems like Tata’s latest small car in the coming days. Meanwhile, you’d do well to keep your eyes peeled out for a tall, camouflaged Tata Car with the dimensions of the WagonR. Meanwhile. this scoop is just another reason for you to stay glued to ICB!
