Don’t Doze Device: Anti Sleep Pilot Monitor
Dozing or nodding off behind the wheel is a prime cause for most fatal car crashes at night. Most of know this and usually avoid driving down that long and lonesome highway with the sun down. Mercedes Benz is one car maker which ushered in the anti sleep device and one which measured many parameters of the driver’s fatigue levels to prevent a crash. But not all of us can afford to buy cars with the three pointed star on our hoods. So where does that leave us, then? Right at the Anti Sleep Pilot Monitor.
A Dutch firm called Anti Sleep Pilot has come up with this nifty little device called the Anti Sleep Pilot Monitor, which will sit on your dashboard and make sure you don’t doze or nod off while driving. Looking more like a car perfume from the noughties, this piece of safety kit will measure different parameters of your alertness using some celever computer program that you and I would find very difficult to comprehend. Yeah, there’s some cutting edge tech involved.
The program, while measuring your wakefulness, through 26 scientific parameters will require you to touch it now and then to make sure that you’re up and awake. If you fail to respond, the device will make enough racket to make you bolt upright and pull over for a cuppa. You can pre order one of these, right here for about $199 and if it actually works as they say it will, this is one piece of safety kit that should be made standard on all cars. We , for our part still prefer stopping by and taking a nap when we get a little noddy.
