Posers take note. Ferrari is all set to go drop top on the gorgeous Ferrari 599, come this August. The plan is to unveil the 599 Roadster during this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in August. Now, here is the cliche. The 599 Roadster will be yet another limited edition model to add to the burgeoning Ferrari range of limited editions. So, plenty of Pebble Beach regulars will snap up most of the models within hours and hence, the rest of the supercar crowd better be ready to grab the few ones that will land up outside of Pebble Beach.

Ferrari president Luca Di Montemezelo says that the 599 Roadster will in all probability feature an evocative name like the Fiorano or Italia, thus dumping the Superamerica tag that most Ferrari roadsters have come with. Under the bonnet, the 599 Roadster will thankfully retain the V12, which could be tuned for more power as the roadster is expected to come with increased weight. So, there, that is all about the latest Ferrari 599 Roadster, which will be the supercar to watch out for at this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
