Fiat Bravo: Not coming to India any time too soon

There have been plenty Fiat Bravo sightings in and around Pune, prompting us to raise questions about whether the Fiat Bravo was indeed coming to India.

We even did a story on this eons ago and hoped that the Fiat Bravo would indeed be showcased at the 2010 Indian Auto Expo.

The Auto Expo came and went but the Fiat Bravo’s sightings became few and far in between save for the occasional ones that the Fiat India folks used as their company/test cars. We still hoped that the Bravo would make it to India in due course of time as a brand builder, notwithstanding the high price it would sport in CBU guise.

The folks at Motorbeam have been accorded the privilege of testing one such Bravo in Mumbai and they categorically put paid to all rumors or if we daresay hope, of the Bravo making it to Indian shores. Seemingly, the Fiat Bravo will not see an Indian launch with the main issue being that of the high price tag it would sport if imported in CBU guise.

So there, ladies and gentlemen, the Fiat Bravo will not come to India and if you’re looking for a hot, high end hatch, you better start looking elsewhere.
