Ford Figo prices hiked by 1%!
2011 Ford Figo Hatchback Small Car
Ford India has hiked the price of it’s hugely popular hatchback, the Ford Figo, citing increased input costs as the reason. The Figo, which single handedly has led Ford India’s sales to multiply many times over has been selling as quickly as Ford seems to be able to make it. Ford has been meeting the growing Figo demand by running two shifts at it’s Chennai plant even as demand continues to steadily increase.
While Ford India has not effected this price hike on it’s other car models in India, it is keeping close eye on input costs, whose further rise would force Ford to hike prices of it’s other models like the Fiesta Classic and Endevour as well. Meanwhile, here’s Ford India President and Managing director commenting on the 1% price hike on the Ford Figo.
There has been a continuous cost pressure on our products as input cost is growing. We did a small price increase of one per cent on Figo at the beginning of this month.

Being a ford enthusiasistic and loyal customer of two Ford cars i owned as..1)Ford 1.6 P (2)New Ford Fisesta global Diesel..,i would like to suggest that just like Sedan sports 1.6s version, Figo must be launched in 1.6s with 170mm ground clearance. Second thing that new face lifted ford figo must have higher ground clearance and must be launched in total 5 variants,as the 1.4 diesel and 1.2 are already on floor.But the biggest changes can be done in Both Diesel and Petrols by intorducing–1) 1.4 Petrol which was discontinued must be revived and discontinue the 1.2 to compete Swift,Punto and Polo Petrols 2)1.6s Figo to Beat Polo,Punto and Swift and even to boost petrol car sale as it will give better drive and fuel efficiency then Sedan sports and it will further makes the Future threat in-to zero level as it will be almost impossible to beat 1.4 petrol & 1.6 Petrol by any hatch at such a Reasonable Price (3)1.5 Petrol Automatic must be introduced in dual clutch Avtar as the new Ford Fiesta AT version in sedan is already a disaster but this will change the fortune in AT market with both Hatch & Sedan versions availability(4)The Figo must be launched in 1.5 Diesel engine also which is great but due to Timing disaster it gave setback to such a thrilling and Refined engine. Thus Figo can beat even swift Dzire by Introducing 1.5 Diesel Unit as the cabin space is almost same in Dzire and Figo and with increased ground clearance things will certainly beat the Following cars simulataneously..1)Swift petrol 2) swift Diesel 3) Swift dzire diesel 4)Swift dzire diesel 5)Polo petrol 6)Polo diesel 7) Liva Petrol 8) liva diesel 9) Punto Petrol 10) Punto diesel….i am not joking but being a Common man and Professor and throughly knowledge and a regular reader of Specialists Verdicts of various Auto magzines,i have concluded this fact and figures.And i wish ford will change the scene of whole Asian market with in 2-3 years with out launching too much other engines and ideas.No Doubt Eco Boost engine will be a Bonus.
