Here are exclusive brochure scans of the 2012 Ford Fiesta Classic Titanium

Yesterday, we broke the story about Ford India launching the Fiesta Classic with a brand new Titanium variant. Today we bring to you, in yet other exclusive, the brochure scans of the Fiesta Classic sedan, replete with the new features and the variant details. Ford India is back to betting on the Fiesta Classic, which could now be called just the “Classic” minus the Fiesta moniker. This move seems like one that aims to differentiate the older Fiesta Classic with the all new Fiesta sedan, which also has been launched in India. So, from here on, the Fiesta Classic could be known as the Ford Classic.

Coming to the slew of new features on the Ford Classic sedan, we’ve had it covered in our exclusive story yesterday. So, click here to get an overview of what the Titanium spec Classic has in store for you. Coming to the new set of features that Ford is doling out with the Classic sedan, the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire is the car that seems to be the target. Why, Ford has even put out a section in its brochure comparing the extra features on the Classic when compared to the Dzire. Now, the big story emerging from Ford dealers in the know is that the new Classic could get a price cut to become more competitive.

This price cut is cited to come on the back of extensive parts sharing between the Classic sedan and the Figo hatchback, which is said to have given Ford breathing space to price the top end Titanium variant of the Classic by up to INR 50,000 lesser than the SXi version. At that price, the Ford Classic Titanium will be compelling buy when compared to the likes of the Maruti Swift Dzire, the Toyota Etios Sedan and the Tata Manza. The Ford Classic clearly trumps all of the aforementioned cars when it comes to the fun-to-drive factor.

The addition of these features, most of them a straight lift off from the Figo, comes at a time when car sales are slumping across the board in India, due to the triple whammy of high interest rates, an economic slowdown and high petrol prices. So, by adding these features. Ford will hope to sell more of the Classic sedan even as the sales of the all new Fiesta seems to be going nowhere.
