Hyundai dealer says Eon prices to begin at INR 2.7 Lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi: Speculation!

A leading Hyundai dealer from Delhi claims the base D-Lite version of the Eon could be priced at INR 2.7 Lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi. The dealer has also given us the list of prices of the Eon’s various variants although this information must be considered as speculation for the time being as this has not been verified by Hyundai India. What we know for a fact is that the Hyundai Eon Hatchback will be the entry level Hyundai car and will be launched on the October 13th.

The Hyundai Eon Hatchback will be available in six variants, D-Lite, D-Lite(O), Era, Magna, Magna(O) and Sportz. The car is Hyundai India’s salvo at India’s highest selling car, the Maruti Alto. It is quite evident that Hyundai India is targeing big volumes given that the automaker has already shipped 7,000 units of the Eon small car to dealership yards across the country anticipating huge demand.

The Hyundai Eon will feature a 3 cylinder, 814cc engine that produces 56 Bhp of peak power and 76.5 Nm of peak torque mated to a five speed manual transmission. The Hyundai Eon has an ARAI clamed fuel economy figure of 21.1 KMPL. The base D-Lite variant will be devoid of air conditioning and power steering while it will come with body colored bumpers. The top end Sportz variant will be fully loaded with the driver side airbag as the top of the line safety equipment.

Coming to the prices of the different variants of the Eon, the D-Lite is anticipated to be priced at INR 2.7 Lakhs, the D-Lite(O) at INR 3 Lakhs, the Era at INR 3.11 Lakhs, the Magna at INR 3.3 Lakhs, the Magna(O) at INR 3.5 Lakhs and finally the top end Sportz variant at INR 3.7 Lakhs.
