The Hyundai i10 Electric was unveiled at the 2010 Indian Auto Expo. We however, got a whiff of the electric i10much before the Auto Expo. The Hyundai i10 electric will take on the Chevy Spark Electric and the Tata Indica Electric, when it is launched later this year.
Hyundai’s brand ambassador, Shah Rukh Khan personally made it to the Hyundai Pavilion during the 2010 Indian Auto Expo, to pull the wraps off the Electric i10. Here is a video showing the bollywood superstar at the Hyundai i10 Electric’s launch.
Meanwhile, you can read about our earlier scoop of the i10 Electric right here. Coming to the Hyundai i10′s specifications, the electric motor will generate a very respectable, for an electric motor of-course, 65 Bhp that will propel the i10 to a top speed of about 125 Kph. This should also endow the i10 Electric with sprightly acceleration in the city making it an ideal city runabout.
The Electric i10 will have a range of almost 160 kilometers and the best part is that it can be charged by plugging it into your standard household wall socket. Very nifty.
