Hyundai launches Eon LPG along with 3 new variants; Price starts at INR 2.98 Lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi!

Hyundai India has just launched the LPG variants of the Eon Hatchback, a car that was launched months ago in the Indian market to be Hyundai’s entry level offering. Hyundai has also launched 3 new variants of the Eon Hatchback. The Eon LPG will be a dual fuel car, which means that it will support both LPG as well as petrol as fuel options. The driver will be able to switch between LPG and petrol fuel options seamlessly, through a dashboard mounted switch. Each of the Eon LPG’s 3 new variants will be pricier than the respective petrol variants by about INR 27,000.

The 3 new petrol variants of the Eon are,

* D-Lite+

* Era+

* Magna+

The D-Lite+ is the base model of the Eon and comes with air-conditioning, gear shift indicator, body coloured bumpers and power steering as standard equipment.

The Era+ has front power windows and central locking in addition to the features found on the D-Lite+.

The Magna+ has 2-Din audio system with USB and Aux in addition to the features found on the Era+.

Hyundai India has fitted the Eon with a toroidal LPG tank, which saves plenty of space. The LPG tank has a capacity of 34 liter and this, in addition to the petrol tank’s capacity of 32 liters, will give the Hyundai Eon LPG a whopping range of 1,200 kilometers on full tanks of LPG and petrol. So, that makes long highway trips also quite easy on the pocket. The Eon Era+ is priced at INR 3.12 lakhs while the Magna+ is priced at INR 3.42 lakhs, both prices ex-showroom Delhi. On the LPG version of the Eon, the top end Sportz variant, which is offered on the petrol only model, is missing.
