All New Hyundai Verna top end Diesel variant priced at INR 10.5 Lakhs, Ex-Showroom!

From the various reviews floating around on the interweb, it seems that the all new 2011 Hyundai Verna is a winner when it comes to the choice of engines, the equipment levels, overall quality levels and ride quality. That leaves us with the all important thing that could make or break buying decisions, the price.

AutoCarIndia Editor Hormazd Sorabjee says that the 2011 Hyundai Verna’s top end diesel variant could be priced at about INR 10.5 Lakhs, Ex-Showroom and this is the indicative price at the dealer’s end. Now, we aren’t sure if that is value pricing for the top end diesel model even though we have to admit that the top end diesel 2011 Verna comes with an automatic gearbox too.

The current segment leader and a comparable model to the 2011 Verna Diesel’s top end model, the Volkswagen Vento Highline costs about INR 9.25 Lakhs ex-showroom Delhi and based on this, the 2011 Hyundai Verna appears a little pricey on first glance. But then, the Vento doesn’t come with a start stop button, a reverse camera and more importantly the automatic gearbox.

So, considering the equipment on offer, the 2011 Hyundai Verna might manage to find itself enough buyers but a price tag of INR 50,000 lesser we feel, would have made the 2011 Verna brilliant value-for-money. All said, this information is not an official pricing release by Hyundai. For that though, we’ll have to wait for May 11th which is when the 2011 Verna RB will see an Indian launch.

10.5 lakhs is too much.. almost equal to cruze price. we are more awaiting for this car.., its upto hyundai with price altimately this will judge the winner. if price is not more than 9.5 lakh, verna is the winner, otherwise it will go same as Honda Jazz., Thing huyndai.. i knew hyundai know this. expecting 11-may-2011.

I saw a new Hyundai car in Bangalore Chennai Highway and tried to take a few pictures..
It resembles this one.. but the name said i45 ?

wowwwwww good to c such a beauty verna but the cost is tooooooo high considering with diseal company should come to know that price to be reduced
