While test drives of the car are available, the deliveries of the Vista D90 has been put on hold as Tata Motors is yet to officially launch this car. The launch is expected to happen in the next few days and deliveries will start immediately after the launch. The Indica Vista D90 comes with a more powerful version of the 1.3 Liter Fiat Multijet turbo diesel engine. This engine, which does duty on Tata cars like the Vista and the Manza, gets the variable geometry turbocharger. Thus equipped, the 1.3 Liter motor on the Vista D90 is good for a peak power of 90 Bhp while peak torque is rated at 200 Nm.
The transmission remains the 5 speed manual gearbox. Apart from the more powerful engine that will make the Vista peppier than before, the car gets a new dashboard that has been borrowed from the Manza. The new dashboard on the Vista D90 means that the instrumentation console now moves from the center to be positioned in front of the driver. The car also gets new stickers on its flanks and a roof that comes in a contrast paint shade. The contrasting paint shade is also carried on to the front air dam and the wing mirrors.
Features wise, the top end ZX variant of the Indica Vista D90 comes with a single touch driver’s side power window switch, a new digital driver information system inside the instrumentation console and follow-me-headlamps. Twin airbags and ABS+EBD are standard on the top end Vista D90 ZX. The 2013 Indica Vista D90 will be available in VX and ZX variants. The VX variant is priced at INR 5.74 lakhs while the ZX variant is priced at INR 6.40 lakh, both prices reflecting ex-showroom Delhi figures. At these prices, the Indica Vista retains its appeal as a value-for-money hatchback, that offers more kit than the competition at a lower price tag.
