Toyota Innova which is also known as Toyota Kijang Innova in Indonesia is about to get its mid life facelift for Indonesian market on 19th August. Before the vehicle officially goes live, there are a bunch of images with leaked brochure scans. This updated version was recently spied by Autonetmagz in Indonesia when car was heading towards its showrooms.
The updated version gets minor tweaks to exterior and interior as well. The front end gets big Toyota Chrome grill and a redesigned bumper with fancy new housing for fog lamps in chrome lining. There is no major change in sideline but rear end gets a chrome garnish on tail gate and sporty style cuts on bumper. Tail lamp gets new clear lenses and headlamps remained unchanged.
On the inside new Kijang Innova gets touchscreen multimedia infotainment system and new set of fabric seats. In Indonesian market Toyota sells 6 variants of Kijang Innova, and according to leaked brochure scans the entry level of Kijang Innova will get old styling (current styling) with dual airbags. The top variant V will get all bells and whistles of new changes that includes, body coloured mirrors, rear chrome garnish, touch screen infotainment system and fog lamps.
New Kijang Innova retains same underpinnings in terms of powertrain options. In India facelifted Innova is expected to be launched early next year and will come with similar upgrades. Toyota Innova in India is powered by 2.5 liter common rail diesel engine that produces 102 bhp and 200Nm of torque. Toyota Innova’s diesel engine offers fuel economy of 15 kmpl and this MPV comes with 7/8 seater capacity. Even during automotive sales slowdown, Toyota Innova in India has a constant sale of 6600 units per month on an average and has a long waiting time. Dominated by taxi market Toyota Innova offers comfortable ride and good handling for its size.
