La Mexicana could be Tata Motors’ latest foreign foray
Tata Nano
Tata Motors latest foreign foray could be Mexico, where it will sell the Tata Indica Vista, the Tata Indigo Manza and the world’s cheapest car, the revolutionary Tata Nano. Tata Motors might tie up with the Mexican firm Metalsa SA de CV, which will contract manufacture these cars in Mexico for Tata Motors.
Incidentally, Metalsa also operates in India and makes chassis units and oil pumps for Tata Vehicles at Jamshedpur. While Tata Motors for their part refused to confirm this piece of news, Tata Motors officials reportedly are in Mexico to take Tata’s Mexican foray ahead. Here’s hoping that these plans do materialize and Tata Motors Limited does start selling it’s cars in Mexico.
