Lamborghini Gallardo replacement, Cabrera may get a 600 horsepower supercharged engine
The Lamborghini Gallardo is a slouch compared to the new Ferrari 458 Italia. Even the feather weight Superleggera fails to impress when the Maranello stallion is around. The Gallardo seems outdated in the presence of the Ferrari. The 458 Italia is known for its nimble handling and loved by car aficionados for its extremely good looking and chiseled, shapely body.
Its about time, the Gallardo gets a makeover and a radical one in fact. Lamborghini has hinted at a new replacement for the old baby bull called the Cabrera. Like the Aventador, we hope the Cabrera looks like a Lamborghini should. It won’t get the lightweight and super strong composite backbone construction.
Four wheel drive will remain but this time Sant’ Agata is rumored to spruce things up with a supercharger. The new Cabrera with its V10, supercharged motor might pump out close to 600 bhp leaving the 458 Italia to bite the dust. The Lamborghini Cabrera LP600-4 could be slated for debut sometime next year. Geneva 2012 may be?
