Mahindra chooses 7,200 winners from the XUV500 SUV’s lucky draw; Results to be up on the XUV500 website by tomorrow evening!

The Mahindra XUV500′s second phase of bookings, which was open for 10 days saw a record 25,000+ bookings across 19 cities, where bookings for this hot selling crossover were open. Mahindra had limited the number of orders it will take for the XUV500 Crossover in the second phase of bookings to 7,200 as the automaker did not want customers to wait for more than 4 months for delivery of the XUV500 after booking. To ensure a free and fair booking process, Mahindra announced that a lucky draw would be held if the number of bookings exceeded 7,200.

With the bookings for the XUV500 hurtling past the mammoth 25,000 mark, Mahindra has just finished conducting the lucky draw earlier today at Mumbai. An independent agency, Deloitte has conducted this lucky draw to ensure transparency. The results of the lucky draw will be published on the XUV500 website tomorrow, the 15th of February, by 1700 Hrs. The results will also be available on a toll free number. The 80,000 Rupee booking deposit that all those who booked the XUV500 in the second phase paid will be refunded to those who have not been allotted the XUV500.

The Mahindra XUV50 Crossover has seen a response like no other SUV has in recent times, making it a big success for Mahindra. The XUV500 is now the new flagship vehicle in the Mahindra stable and will soon be exported to many countries across the world. The Mahindra XUV500 is a diesel powered car featuring a 2.2 Liter common rail turbodiesel engine producing a peak power of 140 Bhp and a peak torque of 330 Nm. The car is available in both front wheel drive and all wheel drive models across 3 variants, with a six speed gearbox handling power and torque transmission.
