Mahindra Reva NXR all electric car unveiled at the 2012 Indian Auto Expo!
The Mahindra Reva NXR has been unveiled at the ongoing 2012 Indian Auto Expo and will be launched in the Indian market soon. Designed to be a four seater variant of the original all electric car, the Reva, the Reva NXR will also bring a host of improvements to the table. The most significant improvement amongst these is the increase in range per charge of its lithium ion battery. Each chharge of the Reva NXR’s lithium ion battery stack will yield a Notably, the Reva NXR uses a lithium ion battery stack instead of the conventional lead acid batteries used by many electric cars.
The 2012 Mahindra Reva NXR is a two door hatchback that has a top speed of 104 Kph, another crucial parameter that this car has bettered its sibling, the Reva-i at. The Reva NXR’s electric motor is mated to an automatic CVT transmission which means that there won’t be any need for the driver to shift any gears, making the Reva NXR a point and shoot car. With the range of 160 kilometers on a full charge of its batteries, the Reva NXR is now a much more viable option for folks wanting to buy an electric car for use within the city as the decent range that the NXR delivers greatly adds to the car’s practicality quotient.
