Mahindra Xylo Pick-Up Truck heading Stateside
Mahindra Xylo Pick-Up Truck
Mahindra Xylo Pick-Up mules going through the motions of rigorous testing are being spotted across India. While people are pretty excited to see this particular load lugger which most often remain heavily camouflaged, the chances of these pick-up trucks getting launched in India aren’t too bright at the moment. I was trawling through the web trying to find out more about where these Pick-up trucks were headed.
The answer came from Mahindra &Mahindra themselves, from their North American website to be precise. The Mahindra Xylo Pick-Up truck will hit the American market in 2012 and currently bears the product code name of MUC.
The Xylo Pick-up Truck will come packed with plenty of technology like ABS on all four wheels, traction control, electronic stability control, a six speed slush box and a bunch of other nifty features. In due course of time, expect all these goodies to filter into future Mahindra UVs and SUVs that you and I drive in India.
As an afterthought, I am pretty pleased to see an Indian car company gunning for glory in the hyper competitive American car market. Pretty heartwarming that. Go Mahindra!

Yes indeed, it looks like we will get the pickup version at some point. We are eagerly awaiting the Getaway right now! http://mahindraplanet.blogspot.com/2009/12/what-muc-us-gets-version-of-mahindra.html
I am sure that Mahindra Xylo will rock the market in INDIA too.
My cousin had also brought it before 7 months,
and now also when he meet me he always talk with me regarding that truck only, I think ha is very happy with it. :-)
when did mahindra langue the new 5 seater xylo i and my family is waiting for 5 seater xylo
Mahindra already launched the Genio based on Xylo. Again it is planing to launch Xylo Mini.
Ill believe it when i see it. Mahindra has grossly underestimated the american truck/suv market.
Probably 40% of those seriously interested have already purchased a vehicle throughout the 3 year tease of these trucks becoming available here.
Couple that with their hyper-inflated fuel milage claims 19-21 actual vs the claimed 30+ will frive the maerican truck suv buyers back to F250′s and Touregs.
If they dont make the T40 and Scorpio debut soon with at least 28+ mpg they will go back to mumbai with their tail between their legs many rupees lighter.
