Maruti to fix oil leakage in 6,000 Altos
Maruti Alto
Maruti Suzuki has announced fixing of the 6,000 Altos that are reported to have an oil leakage causing engine starting problem. The cars affected by the problem are the ones produced during the month of April. The company has given orders to its sales network centres and service workshops to check and repair the affected Altos and denied it of being a recall.
The problem has reportedly come up after the company re tuned its F-series engine to meet the BS4 emission norms. The modifications could have led to a change in engine pressure and is presumed to be the main reason behind the problem. The carmaker sold 64,500 Altos between April and June and is not yet certain about the number of cars that face this problem.
