2010 Alto Refreshed: Maruti launches BS 4 Alto Model

Maruti has silently launched BS 4 variant of their highest selling car, Alto, keeping it away from any hyped media launch party.

Company has started sales of the car with a similar price tag as of its older model.

Alto BS 4 Fire Brick Red

The car has Maruti’s 796cc FC engine with 4 valves per cylinder. The 3 cylinder motor coupled to the 5-speed manual synchromesh gearbox churns out 47 PS @ 6200rpm and 62Nm torques @ 3000 rpm. The car now gives segment leading mileage of 19.73 Kmpl certified by ARAI.

As we had mentioned in our earlier article, the car looks virtually same externally. The interiors however have been modified to give it a refreshed look. The dashboard now comes with a two tone look and a new speedometer with digital fuel indicator.

The seats are new too, with the front seats getting integrated headrests and a new seat fabric to make the cabin feel more airy and upmarket.

Alto BS 4 Seats

Alto now gets Maruti’s i-CATS ( Intellgent Computerized Anti-Theft System) which prevents car to be started from any duplicate key. This means the car can only be started with the original keys provided by the company. The brakes have also been given a booster assist to reduce its stopping distance. The car comes with tubeless radials and a collapsible steering column for extra safety.

i have plan to buy in future only maruthi any model..i think this car similer to my budget.looking like and specificationally very good model and range also.hope soonly i will get back with maruthi people.
