Maruti Suzuki is offering assured gifts and exchange bonus worth Rs 41,000 on the Wagon R family hatchback. This comes as part of Maruti Suzuki’s ‘Smartness Carnival’ offer which is on from December 8th to December 18th. Customers can also participate in the ‘Smartness Carnival’ and win smart phones. Also, with every Wagon R, Maruti Suzuki is offering a gift cheque and exchange bonus worth the above mentioned amount.

The Maruti Suzuki Wagon R uses a 1.0 litre engine with a lightweight aluminium block. The base petrol engine produces 68 PS of max power. Maruti also offers the Wagon R with a CNG option. The top-end Vxi version comes packed with creature comforts including adjustable tilt steering, central locking with key less entry, power windows, cup holders etc. The Wagon R Duo on the other comes with a factory fitted LPG kit. This does occupy the boot but then, it’s a price you have to pay for cheaper running costs.

The year 2011 may have been a tough one for the auto industry and especially for Maruti Suzuki. Still, India’s premier car maker continues to be at the top of the sales charts. This year Maruti Suzuki had to deal with huge production losses after one of their factories in Manesar had to be shut down due to labour unrest. The Alto still remains the best selling car in India. The new Swift has also clocked descent numbers even after its production had to curtailed earlier in the year.

In the month of November, Maruti Suzuki sold a descent number of Wagon Rs- 12,069 units to be precise. The low cost of ownership and market penetration has been the reason for the success of the brand for years. Even after so many international brands setting-up shop in India people do have faith in the ‘Maruti’ brand and hence the car maker continues to maintain its top spot in the market.
