India on Mclaren’s radar

India might be one of the destinations that will see the much anticipated supercar that British supercar maker, Mclaren plans to launch early in 2011. The supercar in question is the MP4-12C and the specs definitely are drool worthy.

The go department will feature a mid mounted 3.8-litre V8 twin-turbo engine that will pump out 600 Bhp 572 N·m of torque.

While the power and torque figures look par for the course, Mclaren’s engineering skills, particularly the ones derived from F1 will probably make the power and torque figures much more meaner. The 12C will be loaded to the gill with Formula one technology like a full carbon fiber monocoque chassis and *bleep* stuff like the brake steer.

Now, all that will take the price northward rapidly and so, expect to fork out a couple of crores for this sizzler if it does see an Indian launch.
