Mercedes Star Package: Owning a Mercedes Benz now gets hassle free

Mercedes Benz India seems to follow BMW India’s footsteps many too often. First BMW came up with the No Frills BMW 3 Series Diesel Sedan and romped home with sales that went through the roof.

Mercedes Benz followed suit with a stripped down version of the C220CDI. Case two: BMW India shook hands with Bajaj Allianz to bring out a comprehensive car care package encompassing the entire BMW model range in India.

Mercedes Benz India now follows suit with a comprehensive car care package of it’s own, albeit one that covers only two of it’s current Indian models, namely the C Class and the E Class models. Called the Mercedes Star C and Star E Packages respectively, these service packages cover every single aspect of regular car services except brake pads and tyres.

The Star Service Packages will last for 3 years or 30,000 Kilometers, applicable to whichever comes earlier. Incidentally, all Mercedes Benz cars produced in and after May 2010 come with a 15,000 Kilometer service interval which means that this service package will last for three regular services. The cost of the Star C Package is INR 69,000 and the cost of the Star E Package is INR 85,000. Also, Mercedes Benz India will launch a similar Star Package for the S Class shortly.
