Scoop: New Ford Fiesta Hatchback spotted testing

Ford Fiesta Hatchback Scoop

2010 Ford Fiesta Hatchback Scoop Picture

Just as the first Ford Figo rolled out of Ford’s Mahindra City plant, a fellow car enthusiast managed to snap up a scoop pic of a Ford Fiesta Hatchback testing on temporary plates in the outskirts of Chennai. From the scooped pics, we are pretty certain that the car in the picture is certainly the Ford Fiesta Hatchback.

So, it looks like Ford India is all set to pull off a fast one on all of us by launching the Ford Fiesta Hatchback to compete with the likes of the Hyundai i20 and the Volkswagen Polo.

Coming to the specifications of the Ford Fiesta Hatchback, the international version features a new 1.6 liter Ti-VCT engine that produces 114 horsepower and the 67 horsepower Duratorq TDCi diesel apart from three more engine options. If Ford does launch the car in India, expect both the 100 Bhp petrol engine and the TDCI diesel engine to be shoehorned into the Fiesta Hatchback’s engine bay.

Now, the Fiesta hatchback with 100 horses under the bonnet would make for one very hot hatch in the great Indian hatchback market.

I think this new Fiesta is very nice but it shows how expensive new cars can be…a few years ago these would have run you around $13,000 topped out now they are creeping into midsize sedan price…that will be the deal breaker for most people.

Hi, looks nice, when are they planing to release, hope they release with many color options.Nromaly ford restrict with few colors. If they could matach world classs colors and Indians liking colors and match with new SWIFT price then occuping the market space will not be an issue.

O this is a hatchback, i dont think ford will launch an expensive hatchback in India as they are already selling a dirt cheap (outdated) Figo already. How does the sedan version of this look like. Btw this car looks like Japanese, rather than American/european.
