3rd Generation Maruti Wagon R to go on sale from 15 April 2010

2010 Maruti Suzuki Wagon R Car India

Maruti Suzuki India will launch the third generation Wagon R on 15th April, 2010. This upgraded version will have Maruti`s latest 998cc K- series engine, Bharat Stage IV compliant with which develops a maximum of 65 bhp at 6200 rpm.

A CNG version will also roll out with the launch of this new model of Maruti Wagon R 2010.

The car does not look much boxy, instead it has been rounded particularly at the front. The front portion is now pricked with new grille, headlights and bumpers while the improved rear features restyled tail lamps and rear windows glass. The higher end VXi model features rear wash and wipe & comes with optional ABS and Airbags option.

The car gets a better and stiffer chassis which would result in better ride and handling. Hand crafted blanks are used all-through and these specially treated, sandwiched and layered pieces of steel help provide stiffness without adding extra weight. The slot-type front grille is a bigger one-piece something like used to be in Estilo. To increase the air flow to the engine the chin has been widened.

The new car gets its steering from the Swift. The interiors have also been inclusively improved, filled in dashboard with new central console which comes with an integrated stereo AUX-In for ipod connectivity and larger circular control for the Aircon.

This new WagonR is expected to cost slightly more than the Zen Estilo which means a INR 3.3 to 3.5 Lakh price tag for the base LXi with power steering and A/C.

That’s awesome front headlight, thanks for the pre-intimation, I was going to buy the wagon r in coming days. But coz of your face lifted news I’ll probably halt my deal till the new face lifted car enters in India market.

Will the new 2010 Wagon-R be Dual Fuel. If yes what LPG or CNG. Chennai Buyers are waiting to buy only Dual Fuel Wagon-R ; atleast a couple of my friends and myself are already postponing our idea only for the 2010 model changes. Will MUL consider chennai buyers immediately. Advance thanks & wishes.

My friend survived sand carrying break less truck hitting from rear on a Indica vista.Same accident if it happens in amy of Suzuki designs I am sure truck will reach the airbags fitted in the steering wheel goibg past the passenger.The suzuki designs are so bad that they do not have any stiffness built the designs .Its only more milage less weight and more profit and least passenger safety.(Osamu suzuki drives a VW pheaton not a Kizashi)
