Country’s leading carmaker, Maruti Suzuki is playing at the front foot with its Swift and Swift Dzire siblings in the market.
Both cars are now due for a complete model change sometime next year and the company is working earnestly towards developing the new versions of two of the most hot selling hatchback and compact sedan options in the country.
The next-gen Maruti Suzuki Swift DZire has now again been spotted testing and the car will see a total revamp of its styling, both outside, as well as in the interior department. The spy pictures show a fully camouflaged test mule doing rounds, which unmistakably bears the silhouette resemblance to the current version of the car, with its compact proportions and distinct Maruti family design traits.
The new version of the car would supposedly get projector headlamps at the front, with integrated LED DRLs. There will also be the placement of a larger front grille, along with completely redesigned front bumper, which will house the circular fog lamps.
Towards the side, the next-gen Maruti Suzuki Swift DZire will bear similar proportions of length and it being a sub-4 metre car, will again have a small boot, placed on at the rear of the car. The alloy wheels on the car also sport a new design now and the side profile gets ample glass area, with large door windows.
At the back, the new DZire will get a new set of LED tail lamps, along with a redesigned boot, which could sport a subtle chrome garnish connecting the two tail lights.
The all-new Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire will supposedly be based on a heavily reworked platform of the Baleno and hence, will lead to the car shedding more than 50 kilograms of its weight. The new platform will lead the car to be more efficient as well as having it more strength. Suzuki is also working on new diesel engines, which could also find making their way into the new Swift and the Swift DZire.
Apart from this, company’s new turbocharged petrol engine, the 1.0-litre BoosterJet could also be seen getting offered in both these cars.
