The Tata Nano and the Lamborghini Murcielago: Strange bedfellows? Well, not really. A couple of examples of the former went up in flames due to a bad fuel hose and many of the latter might go up in flames due to fuel leaks if precautionary measures aren’t taken at the earliest. While most berated Tata and the Nano; started falsely accusing the Tata’s of making huge safety compromises while making the Nano, the car world seems to have now come a full circle.

No manufacturer, not even the hallowed maker of the raging bulls of supercars, seems to be immune to manufacturing faults and here’s proof. Lamborghini is recalling 428 Murcielago 640LPs and Murcielago Coupes for faulty fuel pump welding inside the fuel tank. If the fuel pumps weld does give way and causes the fuel pump to detach itself from the fuel tank, a fuel leak could spring up, which later can culminate into a spectacular supercar fire.
