Renault Fluence 2011 Sedan Launch pre-poned to May?

The Renault Fluence will be the latest addition to the crowded D-Segment of the Indian car market come May this year, when Renault India is all set to unveil this car for the Indian market. The car will feature both petrol and diesel engines in the Indian line up.
Early last month, Renault’s Senior Vice President, Stephen Norman, speaking from the 2011 Geneva Motor Show asserted that the Fluence Sedan will be launched in June 2011. Now, we have a few sources telling us that the launch has been pre-poned to May 2011.
So, the Renault Fluence Sedan could see a launch in May 2011 at a price close to the Skoda Laura Sedan. The car is expected to feature the a 2 liter-140 Bhp petrol engine, a 1.5 Liter-110 Bhp DCi Diesel engine when it goes on sale in India, later this year.
The Renault Fluence Sedan has been regularly spotted doing the testing rounds in and around Chennai and from what we’re seeing, Renault India seems to have an elegantly styled car that can sell well if priced right with the right kind of after sales service.

Price similar to Laura.. i would suggest, to be in the range of cruze. Ghosn.. this time attempt to make a presence in India..
Renault Fluence will be great launch for india and for D segment but they should price the car close to toyota corolla altis or less than that to be successful in Indian Market. The prices should be 12-12.5 lakhs on road for Petrol and 13 -13.5 lakhs
on road for Diesel. Anything more that will be tough for the car to be success in Indian Market.
The can cut down th extra Gizmos to be price competetive. Pitching the car against Skoda Laura will be Big mistake for the company
