Renault India’s razmattaz at the 2010 Indian Auto Expo
Renault Megane Car
Renault currently sells a solitary model in India, the Mahindra-Renault Logan, that too in collaboration with Mahindra & Mahindra. Now, with the Logan being the first choice of the Taxi drivers, families aren’t too interested to buy the Logan as a family car. So, where does that leave Renault with? An image makeover exercise. This is precisely what the French automaker did with a dazzling display at the 2010 Indian Auto Expo. Renault lined up an eclectic collection of cars ranging from ones from the race track to ones of the future and everything else in between.
To grab the showgoers’ attention, Renault displayed the Renault F1 car and the Renault Megane Trophy 6 race car along with it’s road going version. The Renault Laguna coupe too made it to the Auto Expo as a display car. The outlandish Renault Twizy hybrid concept, which Renault India put together just for the Auto Expo was a major showstopper at the Renault Pavilion. Yes, the Mahindra Logan Renault was there too, in a quiet little corner, almost looking out of place amidst all it’s more dazzling stable mates.
Meanwhile, Renault India unveiled a couple of very important models that it intends to sell in India, the Renault Koleos SUV and the Renault Fluence sedan. These cars, while not hogging all the limelight at the Renault Pavilion are Renault’s Indian launches worth watching out for in 2011.
So we went ahead and devoted an entire post to tell you more about them. You can read more about them right here at Indiancarsbikes.
This, in essence was what Renault India showcased at the 2010 Indian Auto Expo.
