Renault Pulse hatchback launched at a price of INR 5.77 to 6.25 Lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi!
Renault India has just launched the Pulse hatchback in India at the 2012 Indian Auto Expo. The price of the Renault Pulse Hatchback begins at 5.77 Lakhs for the base variant, going up to 6.25 Lakhs for the top end variant. The Renault Pulse is a diesel only model with no petrol engine being made available. The Renault Pulse Hatchback features the same K9K 1.5 Liter common rail turbo diesel engine found on the Nissan Micra, with similar power and torque outputs of 64 Bhp and 160 Nm.
The Pulse retains the five speed manual gearbox that is also found on the Micra. The Renault Pulse hatchback is an example of badge engineering as the car is essentially a Nissan Micra hatchback, with the only difference being in terms of the front end look of the car, which features a restyling to differentiate it from the Micra. Even the interiors of the Pulse are very similar to that of the Micra.The Micra will be available in two variants and has been positioned as a premium hatchback. The entry level RxL variant has been priced at INR 5.77 Lakhs while the top end RxZ variant has been priced at INR 6.25 Lakhs, both prices Ex-showroom Delhi.

Hmm…lets see how this one fares…if Micra is for girls, Pulse is for boys. Let’s see how many boys fall for this.
The Pulse is the first collaborative production of Renault and Nissan in the Indian market. It resembles the Micra to some extent but much sporty in nature.
