Revealed: Ferrari’s big Indian plans!
The Cavallino Rampante, Italian for raging stallion, is here and the Prancing Horse maker, Ferrari, will first set shop in Delhi, followed by Mumbai in the second half of this year. The Italian supercar maker plans to start selling it’s cars through the sales and distributorship of Shreyans Motors.
The range of Ferraris to be retailed in India are the Ferarri California, the Ferrari 458 Italia, the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano and of course the latest Ferrari in town, the 2012 Ferrari FF. That pretty much means that four out of the entire Ferrari range of six cars will now be available in India. The cars missing are the Ferrari SA Aperta and the Ferrari 599 GTO.
Meanwhile, the Ferraris obviously will come with price tags of a few crores each but heck, a Ferrari is a Ferrari. Now, wait for this. Ferrari has earmarked 24 Ferraris for India in 2011 and of these, 18 have already been sold. This, before even a Ferrari dealership has been set up in the country. Now, that is what the Ferrari brand is all about and coming to the spending power of Indians, we now know why Ferrari is so eager to be in India.
