Rolls Royce Ghost unveiled at Hyderabad Autoshow
Super luxury car maker Rolls Royce has given the Hyderabad Autoshow visitors a taste of the best things to come by taking the wraps off the new synonym of grandeur on wheels. They call it the Ghost.
The show’s chief guest Mr. K. Rosaiah, the Honourable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and Sharad Kachalia, director of marketing, Navnit Motors Pvt. Ltd, the authorised Rolls-Royce Motor Cars dealership for Mumbai jointly unveiled the moving piece of perfect craftsmanship at the Rolls Royce stand.Rolls Royce is targeting young entrepreneurs who have created a name for themselves and their ventures in the Indian business sector. The trending pattern of Rolls Royce customer base has also changed from that of middle-aged business tycoons and royal families to one which comprises of the young Turks. The new line of Ghost Rollers stands apart from the Phantom range as a smaller and less expensive option for the new age entrepreneurs and businessmen to spend their monthly earnings.

So what do you get in return for the Rs. 2.5-2.7 crores that is splurged on one of these luxury vessels?
Obviously, the Ghost has all that which makes a Roller a Roller. Supreme luxury wraps up the occupants in an interior which has been decked up with the finest leather upholstery and veneer inserts. Even the floor of the car has received immaculate attention to detail with deep-pile carpets and an option to add lambswool floor mats. The panorama sunroof which goes all the way from the front to the rear brightens up the interior with natural light. A sophisticated climate control system coupled with comfy and luxurious seats make the Ghost the next best option to a private jet. Traditional violin keys and eyeball air vents have been retained to make the loyalist stay at home.
Rolls Royce cars have always had the most advanced suspension set-ups to make the wine remain within the brim of expensive crystalware when corporate deals are signed at the rear seat. The new set-up is so incredible that the suspension adjusts all by itself when the occupants shift positions within the car. How cool is that! Ground clearance can also be raised or lowered by 25mm.
In-car entertainment comes loaded with 9.2in LCD screens in the back of the front seats, an audio system with 600 Watts sound, blasted through a 10-channel amplifier, 16 speakers and two floor-mounted subwoofers. Options to integrate external audio devices and a massive 12.5 GB hard drive for music storage will make it certain that there is never a chance of sacrificing or missing a soundtrack.

The one who signs the dotted line to acquire the Ghost may seldom drive it and will instead hire the services of a chauffeur. But the Ghost’s engine will make the chauffeur’s job the most enviable one on the planet. How else can it turn out, when the car is powered by a 6.6 litre twin-turbo V12 that is mated to an 8-speed automatic ZF gearbox?

Rolls Royce plans to sell 50 cars in India this year. The “reasonably-priced” Ghost won’t make it an uphill task for the marketing executives to sell it to the young guns and reach the mark in the process. Customers will be able to take delivery of the car after two to three months of confirming the order.
